Everything You Need to Know About Birmingham Grammar Schools.
Birmingham has 8 selective state grammar schools — 6 operated by the historic King Edward VI Foundation and 2 in Sutton Coldfield. All 8 schools participate in the Grammar Schools in Birmingham consortium and use the same entrance test, administered by GL Assessment.
The test consists of two multiple-choice papers (approximately 50 minutes each) covering English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, and Spatial Reasoning. Children sit the test once and can apply to multiple schools. At Eleven Ace, we provide personalised 1:1 online tuition and small-group batch classes tailored to the Birmingham 11 Plus format.
